What We Do

Examinations | You should have your eyes checked regularly.

Many people don’t understand the importance of having regular eye exams. In the rush of everyday life, its easy to overlook vision care. But taken in perspective, how much could we actually accomplish in a day without the gift of sight? Eye exams are recommended as early as 6 months of age, then at the age of 3, 5, and every year while children are in school. Our largest age bracket of patients is between 1-20 years of age. Heathy eyes require a checkup every 1 to 2 yrs before age 40. Frequency of eye exams after age 40 is dependent on your eye health and family eye history. A typical eye exam lasts under an hour and consists of a series of computer-assisted tests to determine how well you can see both near and far.

Eyeglasses | It is important to get the right prescription for your eyeglasses.

Your eyeglasses prescription needs to be checked on a regular basis to ensure your visual acuity is the best it can be. Incorrect prescriptions can cause headaches or fatigue and can lead to worsened conditions. Most insurances cover the lenses and frames of your new eyeglasses.

Contact Lenses | Convenience and clarity.

Contact lenses are a great alternative to eyeglasses. In simple terms, contact lenses are thin, curved plastic discs designed to cover the cornea, which is the clear front covering of the eye. They provide a safe and effective way to correct vision, preferred by many, depending on your eyes and your lifestyle. Over 24 million people in the United States now wear contact lenses.

Eye Disease Diagnosis and Treatment | Getting to the root of the problem.

Many serious eye diseases and conditions often have no symptoms. Glaucoma is an eye disease that causes vision loss and oftentimes goes untreated. Conditions such as macular degeneration or cataracts develop gradually. You may not even realize your vision has been affected by these conditions. Early detection of these conditions and other eye diseases is important for maintaining healthy vision.
